Slated to be unveiled at the 80th Geneva Motor Show in March 2010, the “UC” or “Urban Commuter” from Swiss automobile powerhouse Rinspeed is an electric concept car designed to battle the gridlock during intercity commutation.



Measuring just 2.50 meters in length, the Intelligent Mobility Concept integrates a central joystick for easy controls of the concept car. The hatchback Rinspeed UC can deliver 124 Newton meters of torque to take the vehicle is a electric cars to a top speed of 110kph, while onboard battery packs enables it to deliver over 70 miles (120km).

This Concept car is surely a car that will steal the gaze and with such a sleek and slim design this car will get a good recognition at Geneva Motor Show 2010

The designers of Bugatti 57 Atlantic must have envisioned the Aliens to come from outer space, therefore, they designed this futuristic car to offer them something of their level from both design and performance aspects. This concept is somehow away from reality so far but according to the French designer, human mind is free to imagine of anything. Though the close to the ground design of this two-seater car is unique from any point of view, the front end matches a bit with Jaguar, on the other hand, the rear part of the car merely looks like a car’s back. To address the ever-growing metropolitan city problems associated with real estate and parking place, many innovative ideas are constantly coming up from various designers and Metromorph is one of the most functional concept cars in this regard. It has been designed with the ability to ride up just like an elevator and turn into a balcony, eliminating the harassment of parking and paying for additional space in the apartment. This vehicle is powered with two in-wheel motors placed in the back of the car along with two battery cases.

Rotating arms have been used in order to keep the seats level for both vertical and horizontal drive. When the vehicle is in balcony mode, the seats are positioned on a rolling base which allows them to become lounge chair for lying down and relax. The exterior design of this car never seems like a car that is mounted vertically with a building but still it looks like a vehicle on the road. The wheels are hidden towards inside and doors are designed to rotate closely around the car, instead of the usual pulling out or sliding up doors, allowing the entrance to freely open in narrow area like a garage.

Peugeot 5001 SOOL the first solar powered Peugeot.

Features:

The SOOL is a huge pleasure to drive because of the unique driving position behind one big glass shield, that offers a unlimited range of view and a sensational driving experience.
On top of that the driver’s seat is mounted on a pole by a special link, that enables the seat to move in all directions.This combination of open view plus movable seat gives the driver a thrilling driving pleasure, that until now could only be experienced when driving a motor cycle.

In this Peugeot the steering and all other commands are done by the two joy sticks, that are mounted on the seat. Therefore also the driving position couldnot be more comfortable and relaxing.

The Peugeot SOOL consists mainly out of solar panels. This solar panels feed the powerful battery
that is located under the back wheels. The big glass shield covering the solar panels not only acts as a shelter for the driver, but it also enhances the sun light that passes through it and then hit the solar panels .This battery may also be charged conventionally.

All the above mentioned features make the Peugeot SOOL extremely ecological. It makes perfect use of the solar energy and causes no emissions at all (not even noise).

MOY is a concept, developed by Elvis Tomljenovic, aimed for those people who love to use latest technology as a way to communicate with others and express themselves. This concept will allow you to design your car on your PC and then affect the design to your vehicle via wireless data transfer.

Finally, lighting car company has released the first UK’s electric sportscar, the Ligtning GT.

The focus point of this sportscar is not the top speed, but rather its electric power that will deliver 700+ HP from its wheel-mounted electric motors charged by just your home electric plugs.

BWM finally showed off its two-mode hybrid system (the first BMW with two-mode hybrid system) at Frankfurt Motorshow, the idea behind this concept car is “merging the athletic aesthetics of a true sports car with the versatility of an SAV resulted in a new vehicle category that so far has not been realised” as stated on the bmw website. Quoted from Chris Bangle as Chief of Design for BMW Group about bmw concept x6 : “a good concept realizes itself in a short amount of time”. There is no official technical statement from BMW about this BMW X6, but the hybrid system expected to improve fuel efficiency by 20 percent.
